Brooke Loftis

As a North Carolina native I’d give you a three syllable “Hiii”, a hug, and a nickname within moments of meeting in person. My best friends call me Brookie and, while the south may hold my roots, the mountains are home to my dreams. I’m pretty certain if you’re reading this we share in the latter. Last year, our Bridgers witnessed me become a Mrs. and a stepmom. These titles are the gifts that drive me to reach professionally as a medical device trainer and personally as a community member on the Board for HRDC.

Sometimes coffee doesn’t cut it (looking at you, 2020) and your cup has to be filled differently, from a feeling of contribution. If your holidays could use an extra lift, keep on reading.

It’s likely you’ve heard of the Gallatin Valley Food Bank, Warming Center, Fork & Spoon Restaurant, or Head Start Preschool. These are a glimpse into HRDC’s impressive ecosystem of services that support our most vulnerable community members.

This year HRDC announced their most ambitious and meaningful project yet - Griffin Place. It’s the future site of a full resource campus equipped with a year-round warming shelter, food bank, and tiny house village for permanent supportive housing! That sentence gave me goosebumps to type.

As a member of this group of powerhouse women, you can contribute in a multitude of ways:

  • Being curious enough to connect with me to learn more

  • Facilitating an introduction to a company or individual interested in giving

  • Enthusiastically sharing news of Griffin Place with your circle

  • Scheduling a virtual or in-person tour of Griffin Place facilities to see the site and feel the impact

  • Volunteering your time with HRDC

  • Donating a gift of cash or stock as an individual or organization (with the option of spreading over a 5-year period)

Think of how many beautiful things started as a conversation! I would love to connect in the way that best suits you! Shoot me a text or give me a call at (704)756-0891. Send me a note at brookepoole719@gmail.com. From there we can keep it virtual or meet up for a coffee or tea. Cheers!
