Kadie Smith

I’m Kadie, a deep Southerner who found her way to Montana and fell in love with the town of Livingston, the way it revolves around the river and writing. I am a brand stylist and publication designer who builds online story-driven brands through my studio Drop Cap Design. I bring my love of publishing and editorial storytelling to small business branding, helping entrepreneurs and independent creatives tell their story to a captivated audience.

I offer branding services to my clients - from logo development and identity work, to copywriting and website development with a well-curated team of creatives. I also design publications for a few different media companies around the world, from Hong Kong to Norway, and even closer to home in Montana.

In 2021, I’ll be launching a digital shop of templates. My goal is to create resources for small businesses that aren’t able to fully invest in a branding project yet, but want to produce a high-quality experience for their clients and customers. I would love feedback on if we are hitting the mark!

This year, I am celebrating bringing on my first Drop Cap employee, Isaac, who is going to help my studio catapult into its next season. It’s certainly keeping me on my toes as a designer! I’m also celebrating a pivot I made under quarantine, to replace travel plans with a studio brand refresh that has kept me inspired and maintained my momentum even when original adventure plans were postponed.
